Between 1835 and 1836, long before the football rivalry between the Buckeyes and the Wolverines, the states of Ohio and Michigan fought a real shooting war (well, sort of) over a narrow piece of land called The Toledo Strip.
Ohio won the bloodless conflict -- and once again, we're glad we did.
